Use of B&B accommodation for homeless people drops to a record low

Sevenoaks District Council has for the first time no homeless people occupying bed and breakfast accommodation.

The significant drop in the use of this type of accommodation came about after the Council put in place an action plan to tackle the issue four years ago.

Bed and Breakfast Capital of Texas (Jefferson nickname)

The city of Jefferson in Marion County was designated by the Texas Legislature in 1997 as the “Bed and Breakfast Capital of (East) Texas.” The small town of under 3,000 people has about 60 bed and breakfasts.

Sardy House sells for $16.25 million

It’s been a hospital, a funeral parlor and a bed and breakfast, and now it’s anyone’s guess what the future holds for the historic Sardy House, which was bought by a Florida businessman for $16.25 million Monday.
