Juliette Swenson grew up in a 21 room hotel in Bath, England. She opened her first B&B in Port Townsend in 1993 and the following year started a newsletter for buying and selling B&Bs. After teaching in class rooms for several years, in 1998 Juliette put her courses on the Internet and now offers four different on-line courses available at http://www.seminars-on-line.com . She has taught ‘real’ classes and workshops at different universities and currently teaches at the Blue Ridge Community College near Staunton, where she owns and operates her fourth B&B. Two of her B&Bs were already existing businesses and 2 have been conversions from houses.

For those wanting a ‘real’ experience Juliette starting offering workshops at her B&B in Staunton over three years ago. Generally the workshops are limited to 12 students so everyone gets lots of individual attention. Her next workshop at her B&B is being held March 18-20th, 2005.
