John and Corrine Handy of Long Beach have realised their hopes of one day opening a B&B in Big Sur, CA. They purchased the 10.8 acre Treebones property 17 years ago and then investigated what type of resort would meet zoning regulations. To assist in their plans they asked a class of environmental students at California Polytechnic State University to come up with some ideas. The combination of ideas has evolved into accomodation called yurts, round fabric-covered tents and breakfast being just orange juice, tea or coffee and make-your-own waffles.
