British Columbia, Canada is seeing growth in the B&B sector of the lodging industry. Helen Woods, innkeeper of the Woodside B&B in Port Moody has adapted her B&B over the years to meet the needs of her differing guests. Initially her guests were from local university-related business but now caters for those guests vsiting relatives nearby. In the winter her guests are business travellers and she has recently added wireless internet technology to meet the needs of those business guests.
Gerry Parfenuik, innkeeper of the Fig Tree B&B believes his success is due to understanding the personality of B&B guests as compared to those travellers who use hotels.
