Some innkeepers in Fayetteville, Arkansas see their B&B’s as a pastime although some having the aim that one day their B&B will produce a viable income. Bill and Sharon Stiles run an antique store as well as the Stay Inn Style B&B with the hope that one day the inn will support itself. Tom and Shirley Butt operate Deepwood House but purchased the house because of who the architect was and not the B&B itself. Despite different reasons for having the B&B’s the innkeepers see the need for their lodging within the hospiatlity industry, creating an intimacy not available at larger hotel chains. This is confirmed by Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau who say more visitors are requesting a B&B rather than a hotel.

Thank you for that article. Being from North Central Arkansas, I can relate to what was said. After the first year, I was scared and wondered if my investment would pay off. Keep your focus and always be one step ahead of your guest and all will be fine. Always think outside the box that contains ‘the box.’
