Goat River Lodge is situated just 5 minutes drive from Creston in the beautiful Creston Valley. Spectacular views to the east over Goat River Canyon to the Purcell Mountains, with Selkirk Mountains to the west and southerly views through the valley into Idaho.
The Lodge is approached through its own 6 acre orchard, where over a hundred fruit and nut trees take their turn to ripen; cherries, apricots, plums, pears, apples, hazelnuts and walnuts.
The local Information Centre is about 3 kms away on Highway 3, the main route of travel through the southern Canadian Rockies.
Kootenay Lake, Creston Wildlife Reserve, Nelson, the U.S. Border (U.S. Hwy 21) are all on the doorstep.
Creston is part of the acclaimed International Selkirk Loop.
The house is a large 7-bedroomed property with walk-out basement, 3 bedrooms of which are self-contained with private entrances.This part of the house was purpose built.
